No Canine Casualties in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

Indy's a Dog Lover, Says MachineGames' Creative Director

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Respect for CaninesWhile many games feature violence against animals, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle breaks the mold. MachineGames Creative Director, Jens Andersson, revealed to IGN that, "Indiana Jones is a dog person." Despite the franchise's typically adventurous and sometimes violent nature, the developers prioritized a dog-friendly approach. While Indy will engage in combat with human foes, his interactions with dogs will be non-lethal. This marks a significant departure from MachineGames' previous work, such as Wolfenstein, where animal combat was a standard feature.

Andersson explained, "It’s a family-friendly IP in many ways," adding, "We have dogs as enemies, but you don’t really hurt the dogs. You scare them away."

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: Action and AdventureSet in 1937, between Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Last Crusade, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle sees Indy pursuing stolen artifacts from Marshall College. His globe-trotting adventure takes him from the Vatican to the Egyptian pyramids and even the submerged temples of Sukhothai.

Indy's trusty whip serves as both traversal tool and weapon, allowing him to disarm and subdue human enemies as he navigates open-world-inspired environments. And for those concerned about canine companions, rest assured: no furry friends will feel the wrath of Indy's whip in this adventure.
