Marvel Rivals Announces Balancing Changes in Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Changes Unveiled!

NetEase Games has dropped a developer update brimming with details on Marvel Rivals' Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces a thrilling new chapter, featuring Dracula as the primary antagonist and the highly anticipated arrival of the Fantastic Four. Fans can look forward to Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman at launch, with Human Torch and The Thing joining the fray six to seven weeks later.

The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), boasts 10 enticing skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Beyond the new heroes, Season 1 also expands the game with three fresh maps and a gripping new game mode: Doom Match.

Significant balance adjustments are also in store. Hela and Hawkeye, deemed overly dominant in Season 0, will receive nerfs. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom are getting buffs to enhance their effectiveness. Other balance changes include buffs for Wolverine and Storm, encouraging more strategic use of these mutants. Cloak and Dagger will also receive enhancements to improve their team compatibility. Adjustments to Jeff the Land Shark are also planned to better align his early warning indicators with his ultimate's hitbox. While his ultimate's power level is under consideration, no major changes have been announced yet.

While NetEase Games remained silent on adjustments to the Seasonal Bonus feature, speculation abounds regarding hero bonus changes. This feature remains a point of contention among players, with many advocating for its removal to improve overall balance.

Season 1 promises a wealth of new content and exciting gameplay changes, leaving players eagerly anticipating its arrival.
