Warzone Shuts Down Shotgun Due to Overpower

Call of Duty: Warzone's Reclaimer 18 Shotgun Temporarily Deactivated

The popular Reclaimer 18 shotgun in Call of Duty: Warzone has been temporarily disabled. The official Call of Duty announcement offered little explanation, leaving players to speculate on the reasons behind its removal.

Warzone boasts an extensive arsenal, constantly expanding with weapons from new Call of Duty titles. This vast selection presents balancing challenges, as weapons originally designed for different games may become overpowered or unstable within Warzone's environment.

The Reclaimer 18, a semi-automatic shotgun from Modern Warfare 3, is the latest weapon affected. Its temporary deactivation was announced via official channels, but no specific cause or return date was given. The weapon, inspired by the real-world SPAS-12, has proven a popular choice among players.

Player Speculation and Community Reaction

The sudden removal sparked immediate speculation, with some players pointing to a potentially "glitched" blueprint version, "Inside Voices," as the culprit. Videos and images circulated online showcasing its seemingly excessive lethality.

Community response is mixed. Many players welcomed the temporary removal, seeing it as a necessary step to address potential balance issues. Some even suggested reevaluating the JAK Devastators aftermarket parts, which allow dual-wielding of the Reclaimer 18, creating a powerful, albeit potentially frustrating, combat build. However, others expressed disappointment, arguing the disabling came too late, particularly given that the problematic "Inside Voices" blueprint is part of a paid Tracer Pack, raising concerns about unintentional "pay-to-win" mechanics. They emphasized the need for more thorough testing before releasing such content.
