Tsukuyomi: Divine Hunter - New Roguelike Deck-Builder by Kazuma Kaneko

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 15,2025

Kazuma Kaneko, the renowned designer known for his work on Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Devil Summoner, is back with an exciting new project titled Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter. Developed by COLOPL, this roguelike deck-building game will be available on PC, iOS, and Android, featuring Kaneko’s iconic dark and mythological style combined with strategic card-based gameplay.

The game is set in a futuristic version of Tokyo Bay, within a towering structure known as The Hashira. This high-rise has been transformed into a sealed battleground, now home to gods and demons. Players will take on the role of a member of the elite national defense force, Tsukuyomi, with the mission to reach the top floor and confront a formidable adversary.

Fans of Kaneko’s previous works will appreciate the game's setting, which masterfully blends elements of urban decay and supernatural horror, creating an eerie and tense atmosphere. This fusion of mythology and cyberpunk themes promises to deliver a captivating experience upon its release later this year.

In Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter, players will build a deck of powerful abilities as they navigate a dungeon that constantly changes. Each playthrough offers unique cards, layouts, and enemy encounters, ensuring no two runs are the same. The combat system features fast-paced, turn-based battles where players must make strategic decisions, choosing between attack or defense actions each turn.

The game also includes branching paths and significant choices that impact the journey, battles, and available resources. As with any true roguelike, failure means starting over from the beginning, making careful planning essential.

Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter is slated for release around June 30th, though this date may change. Interested players can pre-register using the links provided below.
