Hello fellow gamers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for August 28th, 2024! Yesterday's presentation was packed with exciting reveals, including several surprise game releases. This usually quiet Wednesday is anything but, and that's great news for us! We've got news, a look at today's eShop additions, and our regular sales updates. Let's dive in!

News

Partner/Indie World Showcase Delivers a Bounty of Games

Nintendo's unique format, combining two smaller showcases, resulted in a flurry of announcements. While a full rundown is impossible here, highlights include surprise releases (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remakes, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new entries in the Atelier and Rune Factory series, and much more. I highly recommend watching the video for a complete picture. There's something for everyone!

Spotlight on New Releases

Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)

A fantastic surprise! This third Castlevania collection includes the three Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also features a revamped version of the infamous arcade game, Haunted Castle, courtesy of M2. The improved Haunted Castle alone makes this collection a steal. Expect excellent emulation and a wealth of features.

Pizza Tower ($19.99)

This Wario Land-inspired platformer is a whirlwind of frantic action. Conquer five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to save your restaurant. Fans of Wario's handheld adventures will love this, but even those without a strong Wario connection should give it a try if they enjoy platformers. A review is in the works!

Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)

Another surprise release! It's Goat Simulator 3! You know the drill. While performance on the Switch isn't confirmed, other platforms have experienced some hiccups. Proceed with caution, but even if it's rough around the edges, the chaotic nature of the game might enhance the experience. Silly goats, silly antics, and potentially, a stressed-out Switch.

Peglin ($19.99)

A missed opportunity for EA? Perhaps. They haven't brought PopCap's games to Switch, leaving a Peggle-shaped hole in the market. Enter Peglin, a fantastic alternative. This mobile hit is now on Switch, blending Peggle mechanics with turn-based RPG roguelite elements. A review is coming soon!

Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)

Kairosoft adds a beloved license to their familiar shop sim formula. Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story features characters from the popular Doraemon franchise. The license is well-integrated, and you might even spot characters from the manga artist's other works. A charming addition to the genre.

Pico Park 2 ($8.99)

More Pico Park for the fans! Up to eight players can join the local or online multiplayer fun. Cooperative puzzle-solving at its finest. A solid sequel, but unlikely to attract many newcomers.

Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)

A budget-friendly rhythm game featuring Kamitsubaki Studio's music. Simple, fun, and affordable.

SokoPenguin ($4.99)

A classic Sokoban-style puzzle game starring a penguin. One hundred levels of crate-pushing fun.

Q2 Humanity ($6.80)

Over three hundred quirky physics puzzles. Use your character's abilities and drawing tools to solve problems. Local and online multiplayer for up to four players.
