PS5 Pro Might Be Coming In Late 2024, Gamescom Devs RevealRumors surrounding the PS5 Pro have intensified throughout 2024, sparked by earlier leaks. Gamescom 2024 saw these rumors solidify, with developers openly discussing the upcoming console. As reported by Alessio Palumbo of Wccftech, some developers have even delayed game releases to coincide with the PS5 Pro's launch.

Palumbo revealed a key detail: "A developer, who requested anonymity, spontaneously mentioned receiving the PS5 Pro's specifications and anticipating significantly improved Unreal Engine 5 performance compared to the standard PS5."

PS5 Pro Might Be Coming In Late 2024, Gamescom Devs RevealThis corroborates a report from Italian gaming site Multiplayer, which showcased a developer delaying a game launch to align with the rumored PS5 Pro release. Palumbo adds, "It's clear this isn't the same developer as Multiplayer's report. The studio I spoke with is not a major player, suggesting widespread access to PS5 Pro specs among developers."

Analyst Predicts Imminent PS5 Pro Release

Further bolstering Palumbo's claims and the Gamescom 2024 developer insights, analyst William R. Aguilar hinted on X in July that Sony is likely to announce the PS5 Pro later this year. Aguilar suggested a possible announcement during a rumored September 2024 State of Play, emphasizing Sony's need to act swiftly to prevent impacting current PS5 sales.

This aligns with the PlayStation 4 Pro's 2016 launch, announced September 7th and released November 10th. Palumbo notes that if Sony follows a similar pattern, "an official announcement seems imminent."
