A Record-Breaking Unboxing Livestream

On November 26, 2024, The Pokémon Company achieved a new Guinness World Record for the longest unboxing livestream, celebrating the release of the Scarlet & Violet - Surging Sparks expansion.

The 24-hour Twitch livestream featured prominent online personalities: Serebii's Joe Merrick, PokeGirl Ranch, and Mayplaystv. Together, they opened over 1,500 booster packs and other Pokémon products, resulting in a collection of more than 20,000 cards, as confirmed by Pokémon's official press release.

The celebration continues! Pokémon's official website promises further product giveaways on the content creators' channels within the next two weeks. The cards collected will be organized and donated to charities, including Barnardo’s in the UK, before the holidays.

Pokemon TCG Sets 20,000 Cards Opened in 24 Hours as New Guinness World RecordReleased on November 8, 2024, the Scarlet & Violet - Surging Sparks expansion takes players to the Terarium, featured in the Indigo Disk DLC Part 2. This expansion introduces Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, such as Archaludon ex, known for its Metal Defender ability.

Iconic Dragon-type Pokémon like Palkia, Dialga, Eternatus, Alolan Exeggutor ex, and Tatsugiri ex also make an appearance. The expansion also features Illustration Rare and Special Illustration Rare cards showcasing Alolan Dugtrio and Feebas in serene ocean settings. New Tera Pokémon ex, including Pallossand ex and Flygon ex, add excitement to players' decks.

The expansion is also available on the Pokémon TCG Live app, offering digital players in-game bonuses through collecting and battling with the new Stellar Tera Pokémon ex.
