Eerie Worlds: A Thrilling CCG Featuring Global Folklore Monsters

Rifts are rarely good news in games, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos in its highly anticipated title, Eerie Worlds. This tactical collectible card game (CCG) follows the success of Cards, the Universe and Everything, offering a new monster-themed adventure focused on fun and learning.

The game features a diverse cast of monsters, each inspired by real-world creatures from mythology and folklore worldwide. From Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake-onna to Slavic beasts such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, the roster is impressively comprehensive. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others join the fray, each accompanied by detailed, researched descriptions.

Eerie Worlds introduces four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, adding significant tactical depth. Monsters share certain properties but not others, creating strategic complexity.

Your monster collection, known as your Grimoire, is upgraded by merging duplicate cards. The game starts with 160 basic cards, with many more accessible through merging, and additional cards planned for release soon.

Avid Games plans to expand the game further with two new Hordes in the coming months, ensuring long-term engagement.

Gameplay involves constructing a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, engaging in nine 30-second turns filled with strategic decisions concerning mana, synergies, and more.
