Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut

Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This unprecedented expansion is due to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group.

This supersized season includes:

  • Three New Maps: Explore iconic New York City locations: the Sanctum Sanctorum (available at launch, featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
  • The Fantastic Four Arrival: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) debut with Season 1, with The Thing and Human Torch joining the roster in a mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.

The developers, NetEase Games, highlighted the expanded content in a recent Dev Vision video, emphasizing the decision to launch the Fantastic Four simultaneously as the reason for the extended season. While the impact on future seasons' content remains unclear, the current plan appears to be adding two characters per season.

While the excitement is palpable, some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of Blade. However, the possibility of his future inclusion remains open. With a wealth of new content and ongoing speculation, Marvel Rivals' future looks incredibly promising.
