January's Pokémon GO Community Day Classic Unveiled

Niantic has revealed Ralts as the star Pokémon for January's Community Day Classic. This guide details the event, including bonuses and in-app purchases.

January's Community Day Classic: Ralts Takes Center Stage

On January 25th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (local time), Ralts will be more frequently appearing, increasing your chances of finding a Shiny Ralts.

A special research story focused on Ralts is available for $2 USD. Completing this research yields a Premium Battle Pass, a Rare Candy XL, and three Ralts encounters featuring Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds.

Evolving your Ralts into Kirlia during the event (or within five hours afterward) unlocks Gardevoir or Gallade with the powerful Charged Attack "Synchronoise" (80 power in Trainer Battles, Gyms, and Raids).

Timed Research offers 4 Sinnoh Stones and a Ralts encounter with a Dual Destiny-themed background. Unlike the main Community Day, this research lasts a week post-event.

An Ultra Community Day Box ($4.99 USD) containing 10 Ultra Balls, 1 Elite Charged TM, and a Special Research ticket is available at the Pokémon GO Web Store from January 21st, 2025, at 10:00 AM (local time).

Pokémon GO's Recurring Monthly Event

Niantic hosts a monthly Community Day Classic, each featuring a different Pokémon (November 2024 featured Mankey). These events increase encounter rates for the featured Pokémon and its Shiny variant, offering an exclusive move upon evolution and various gameplay bonuses. December's event is a two-day special featuring multiple Pokémon.
