January 28 Is Going to Be a Big Day for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Fans

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2 Arrives January 28th

Treyarch has officially announced the launch date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 2: Tuesday, January 28th. This marks the end of Season 1, a remarkably long 75-day run, making it one of the longest seasons in Call of Duty history.

While specifics on Season 2's content remain under wraps, anticipation is high. The exceptionally successful launch of Black Ops 6, boasting record player numbers in its first month, has recently seen a downturn, attributed to issues like cheating in Ranked Play and ongoing server problems. The community hopes the new season will revitalize the game.

Season 2 Launch Confirmed

The Season 2 launch date was revealed in a recent Black Ops 6 update. While addressing Zombie mode fixes in the January 9th patch notes, Treyarch mentioned postponing certain improvements until Season 2's release on January 28th. A comprehensive blog post detailing the new season's features is expected soon.

Season 1 delivered a substantial amount of new content, including multiplayer maps, modes, weapons, and events, significantly impacting Warzone with a revamped movement system, new weapons, gameplay enhancements, and the Area-99 Resurgence map. The season also saw the return of popular maps like Nuketown and Hacienda.

Looking ahead, Treyarch has hinted at further classic map remasters for Season 2, though they've emphasized a focus on original content. Associate Creative Director Miles Leslie previously stated that no Black Ops map is excluded from potential remastering.
