Disney Mirrorverse Announces EOS By The End Of This Year

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile game featuring a unique blend of Disney and Pixar characters in a new universe, is shutting down. Developer Kabam announced the game's end-of-service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.

The game has already been removed from the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases are disabled. Players have approximately three months remaining to enjoy the game before the servers close permanently.

Have You Played Disney Mirrorverse?

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse is an action RPG featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar characters. Kabam advises players to complete the final storyline before the game's closure.

Initial excitement surrounding the game, particularly among Disney fans, waned due to a lengthy two-year early access beta period and infrequent content updates. This contributed to player attrition.

The Unexpected Disney Mirrorverse EOS Announcement

The game ultimately fell short of its potential. A demanding shard collection system hindered character progression unless players invested significant funds. However, the game's character designs, both creatively and graphically, were widely praised.

The EOS announcement is particularly disappointing given the recent release of new story content and the addition of Cinderella as a playable character just a week prior. This sudden closure surprised many players.

This isn't Kabam's first game shutdown. Last year, Transformers: Forged to Fight was abruptly discontinued, and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off also faced the same fate.
