The Battle Of Polytopia Buffs The Aquarion Tribe, Making Them Thalassic Superstars!

Midjiwan has unleashed a massive update for The Battle of Polytopia: a complete overhaul of the Aquarion Tribe! This marks a significant rework of the game's first special tribe, originally introduced in 2017.

Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion receive a stunning visual upgrade. Land units now sport mermaid tails, making them amphibious or fully aquatic. This grants them effortless water traversal, although they're slower on land. A new flooded terrain type allows land and naval units to occupy the same space for the first time.

Buildings have also received an aquatic makeover. Construction on water is now possible, and Lost Cities are hidden within deep-sea ruins, providing the perfect watery stronghold. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops are back and permanently integrated, functioning like their land-based counterparts.

New aquatic creatures join the fray! Sharks ambush opponents, Puffers offer long-range bombardment, and Jellies unleash electric shocks. Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, also see improvements; Crabs now flood the tiles they traverse, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid-tailed troops. Intrigued?
