Unlock Monster Hunter Wilds' Squid Hunter Trophy

In the vibrant world of *Monster Hunter Wilds*, numerous engaging interactions await, offering diverse rewards. This guide focuses on acquiring the coveted Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy or achievement. While not crucial to the main storyline, fishing provides a delightful diversion and a unique questline, ultimately equipping you for this challenge.

Your journey begins with Kanya's fishing quests. Complete these side quests by gathering the necessary items:

Seeking the Goldenfish: Locate the Goldenfish in cave pools. Area 6 of the Scarlet Forest is a good starting point. Use Golden Bughead or Common Wood Minnow bait. Fallow weather conditions offer the best spawning chances.

Fishing for Favor: Next, catch the Gravid Bowfin in the Scarlet Forest base camp during "Plenty" weather. Use the Emerald Jitterbait.

The Catch of a Lifetime!: Catch any large fish requiring the reeling minigame (a Tuna works well in Area 17 of the Scarlet Forest).

After completing these, Kanya will assign the Razzle Dazzle quest, leading to the Monster (Squid) Hunter trophy/achievement. Here's how:

Go to Area 17 of the Scarlet Forest. Ensure Downpour weather (Inclemency). Use the grill or camp to adjust weather if needed. Wade into the deep water until you can go no further. Locate glowing blue squid shells. Equip the Tentacle Jig and start fishing. Successfully reeling in a Goliath Squid will unlock the trophy/achievement.
