Clash of Clans Is Going to Make Big Changes with Its March 2025 Update

Clash of Clans is preparing for a massive update in March 2025, addressing long-standing player requests and removing outdated mechanics. This update marks one of the most significant changes in the game's history.

No More Troop, Spell, or Siege Machine Training Time!

Get ready for non-stop action! The update eliminates troop, spell, and siege machine training times, allowing for back-to-back attacks and significantly faster-paced battles. Hero recovery time is also removed, keeping your heroes constantly in the fight. This change applies to Titan League and below; the Legend League retains its eight-battle daily limit for now. This removal of training times builds on the 2022 removal of training costs, further streamlining gameplay and removing artificial barriers.

Adjustments to Accompany the Changes:

With the elimination of training times, Training Potions and Training Treats become obsolete. They will be removed from in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining potions and treats in player inventories will be converted into Gems.

Introducing the New Match Anytime System!

To ensure continuous gameplay, a new Match Anytime system is being introduced. When real bases are unavailable, this system allows attacks on snapshot bases—saved versions of real player bases currently under Shield. These battles function identically to normal attacks, with loot and trophy gains for the attacker, but no losses for the defender. This system, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League, is now expanding to multiplayer battles.

Further Tweaks and Improvements:

To balance the increased battle frequency, the number of trophies earned per victory is being adjusted. Additionally, Clan Castle request timers are being standardized to 10 minutes for all players.
