Artifact Detectors in Stalker 2: A Comprehensive Guide

This guide details the four artifact detectors in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, making these detectors crucial for gameplay.

Echo Detector: The Basic Model

The Echo Detector is your starting artifact detector. This small, yellow device uses a central light tube that pulses, indicating proximity to an artifact. The intensity of the pulsing and beeping increases as you approach the artifact, but pinpointing its exact location can be time-consuming.

Bear Detector: An Enhanced Experience

Acquired either during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from a vendor, the Bear Detector improves upon the Echo Detector. It features a circular display with rings that illuminate, providing a visual representation of distance to the artifact. Full illumination signifies you're directly above the artifact's spawn point.

Hilka Detector: Precision Artifact Detection

Obtained during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector offers a more precise approach. It displays numerical values correlating to the artifact's position within the anomalous field. Decreasing numbers indicate closer proximity.

Veles Detector: The Pinnacle of Artifact Detection

The Veles Detector, awarded for completing the main mission "In Search of Past Glory," is the most advanced detector. Its radar display precisely pinpoints artifact locations within the anomalous field, also highlighting nearby hazardous anomalies to enhance player safety.
