Disappointment filled the Hollow Knight community yesterday when Gamescom producer Geoff Keighley confirmed on Twitter(X) that Silksong, the highly anticipated sequel, would not be at the event’s Opening Night Live (ONL).

Fans were hopeful after Keighley revealed the initial lineup, hinting at unannounced titles with a "+ More" addition. This fueled speculation that a long-awaited Silksong update, after over a year of silence, might finally emerge.

However, these hopes were extinguished when Keighley later tweeted(X) to definitively exclude Silksong. "Just to clarify, no Silksong on Tuesday at ONL," the producer stated. He reassured fans that Team Cherry continues to diligently develop the game.
