'Monster Hunter Wilds Beta Extended After PSN Outages'

Author:Kristen Update:Feb 21,2025

Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta test due to a PlayStation Network outage. The PSN outage, lasting approximately 24 hours on February 7th, prevented online gameplay. In response to the widespread disruption, Sony compensated PlayStation Plus subscribers with five extra days of service.

The Monster Hunter Wilds beta, originally scheduled from February 6th to 9th, was significantly impacted. To compensate players, Capcom has announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session.

The revised beta dates are:

February 13th, 7 PM PT / February 14th, 3 AM GMT – February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT

Capcom confirmed that participation bonuses, redeemable in the full game, remain available during this extended period. Despite the previous outage, beta testers had the opportunity to engage with the challenging new monster, Arkveld.

Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For more information, including our IGN First coverage and final preview, please see the provided links. Additional guides cover multiplayer gameplay, weapon types, and confirmed monsters.
