You can start your hunt for Sharp Fangs early in the game by exploring the Windward Plains. These fangs are essential for crafting some of the initial gear sets. To get there, embark on optional quests like “Beware the Chatacabra” or “The Desert is Demanding,” which will lead you to the Windward Plains with a generous 50-minute time limit. Before setting out, consider preparing a meal to boost your performance.

Gaijos

Your primary target for Sharp Fangs should be the Gaijos, small leviathan monsters resembling crocodiles with unique snouts. They are usually found near or in riverbeds in Area 8. Use the interactive map to locate them by looking for purple diamonds near water sources. Gaijos are relatively easy to defeat with any starter weapon, and upon carving their carcass, you are guaranteed to receive 1 x Sharp Fang.

With around four to five Gaijos spawning in the Windward Plains, you can efficiently farm Sharp Fangs by repeatedly entering through the optional quests.

Talioth

Another source for Sharp Fangs, though less reliable, are the Talioths. These bipedal creatures roam in packs in Areas 8 and 13. While they are slightly tougher than Gaijos, they can still be taken down with starter weapons. Talioths may drop other items like Talioth Scales, but there's also a chance they'll yield Sharp Fangs. Hunting Talioths can also help you complete the “The Desert is Demanding” quest, requiring you to kill 8 Talioths.

By following these strategies, you'll be well on your way to farming Sharp Fangs in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and guides on the game, including how to master the Great Sword with all its moves and combos, be sure to check out our other content.
