Guide to Completing Canker Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

To embark on the "Canker" side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you'll first need to complete "The Jaunt." This quest is a great opportunity to acquire a mace or some extra Groschen, so let's dive into how to successfully complete "Canker."

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate "Canker," you'll need to have a conversation with Gules at Semine. You can easily pick up this quest during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes by talking to Gules while he's enjoying a drink. Alternatively, you can start the quest earlier by visiting Semine and speaking with Gules while he's on patrol. Simply ask him about his former bandit comrades and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker, one of these former bandits, becomes your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Upon accepting the quest, Canker’s location will be marked on your map, north of Nebakov Mill. Be cautious as the path leading to him is often patrolled by bandits who may attempt to ambush you. You have the option to sneak past them, engage them in combat, or simply flee. While these random bandits aren't particularly challenging, it's best to avoid unnecessary fights to conserve your health for the upcoming battle.

Canker's bandit camp is nestled in the mountains and can be tricky to find. You'll need to navigate through a narrow gap to reach it, similar to accessing the Hermit's house during the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Prepare for combat before entering, as you'll face several bandits along with Canker. Some bandits may flee depending on the order in which you take them down, but you'll need to eliminate most of them. Fortunately, Canker won't run away, ensuring you can complete your mission by killing him.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his gang, loot his body to collect the Light Mace as proof of your victory. Feel free to take any additional items you find on him. Once you have the mace, head back to Gules to complete the "Canker" quest.

Following the completion of "Canker" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you must wait a full in-game day before you can pick up the next quest involving Gules' former bandit associates. Once the day has passed, speak with Gules to start "Handsome Charlie."
