The Game Awards 2024, hosted by Geoff Keighley, has unveiled its nominees across 19 categories, culminating in the coveted Game of the Year (GOTY) award. This year's contenders represent a diverse range of titles, from established franchises to exciting newcomers.

GOTY 2024: A Battle of Titans

The race for GOTY is particularly fierce this year, with a strong lineup including: Astro Bot, Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (which leads with 7 nominations overall). The inclusion of Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree has already sparked significant debate within the gaming community.

Voting and the Ceremony

Fans can cast their votes for their favorites now until December 11th via The Game Awards' official website and Discord server. The winners will be revealed during the live ceremony on December 12th at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The show will be streamed globally on various platforms, including Twitch, TikTok, YouTube, and the official Game Awards website.
