Elliot Page Stars in New Beyond: Two Souls TV Series

Elliot Page, the original star of PlayStation and Quantic Dream's story-driven adventure game Beyond: Two Souls, is set to bring the game to the small screen. Through his production company, Pageboy Productions, Page has secured the rights from Quantic Dream to adapt the game into a television series. Currently in the early stages of development, the project aims to maintain the game's unique non-linear narrative. Specifics such as casting and release dates are yet to be disclosed.

Reflecting on his experience, Page described filming Beyond: Two Souls as "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career. He expressed enthusiasm about the project, saying, "The story’s rich narrative and emotional depth offer us a fantastic foundation. We want to create a unique vision of the characters and their journeys that resonates with fans and newcomers."

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, shared insights on the team's approach, stating their intent to "honor the game’s legacy while inviting fresh perspectives." He highlighted the project's focus on themes of survival and the impact of split-second decisions on multiple lives.

Beyond: Two Souls originally launched on the PlayStation 3 in 2013, later expanding to PlayStation 4 in 2015 and PC in 2019. Directed and written by Quantic Dream's David Cage, the game follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities who communicates with a spirit named Aiden. The game is celebrated not only for its non-linear storytelling but also for featuring prominent actors like Page and Willem Dafoe.

David Cage expressed excitement about collaborating with Page on the TV adaptation, though the specifics of his involvement remain undefined. He praised Page's performance in the game and emphasized the emotional impact Beyond: Two Souls had on its audience, expressing confidence in Page's ability to bring a unique vision to the television format.
