The First Bird Pokémon Is Landing in Pokémon GO During the Catch Mastery Event!

If you're a fan of Pokémon GO, you're in for a treat with a series of exciting events on the horizon. From the colorful Festival of Colors to the strategic Might and Mastery event, and nestled within, the Catch Mastery event is set to captivate players.

Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!

Mark your calendars for March 16th, as the Catch Mastery event takes flight from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event shines a spotlight on Archen, the First Bird Pokémon, making it a prime opportunity for enthusiasts to encounter this ancient creature. Alongside Archen, you'll find wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, with the added thrill of potentially discovering their Shiny variants.

Archen won't just be appearing in the wild; it will also be available through Field Research rewards, with an enhanced chance to encounter its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers enticing XP bonuses, doubling your experience points for Nice Throws or better and for Curveball Throws, making it an ideal time to hone your catching skills.

For those looking to dive deeper into the event, there's Timed Research focused on catching Rock-type Pokémon. Challenge yourself to complete up to 10 sets of tasks, which could lead to a whopping 40 encounters with Archen.

The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon

Following closely, the Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd, running from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol named Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will gain permanent access to this powerful move, which delivers 55 power in Trainer Battles and an impressive 65 power in gyms and raids.

To make the most of this event, from March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT until March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily bumped up to 20. Additionally, you can collect up to five extra free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, allowing you a total of six passes for the day.

Don't miss out on these exciting events—download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store if you haven't already, and get ready for some thrilling adventures.
