Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio is Ubisoft Japan’s Most Popular Character

Ezio Auditore da Firenze, the iconic protagonist of the Assassin's Creed franchise, has emerged victorious in Ubisoft Japan's Character Awards, a celebratory event marking the company's three decades of success. The online poll, which ran from November 1st, 2024, invited fans to vote for their top three favorite characters across Ubisoft's extensive game library.

The results, announced on Ubisoft Japan's official website and X (formerly Twitter), reveal Ezio as the overwhelming favorite. To celebrate this milestone, Ubisoft Japan has created a special webpage featuring Ezio in a unique artistic style, along with four free downloadable wallpapers (available for PCs and smartphones). A lucky 30 fans will also receive an exclusive Ezio acrylic stand set, while 10 will win a massive 180cm Ezio body pillow!

Beyond Ezio's triumph, the top ten characters were revealed, showcasing a diverse range of beloved Ubisoft protagonists:

  2. Aiden Pearce (Watch Dogs)
  3. Edward Kenway (Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag)
  4. Bayek (Assassin's Creed Origins)
  5. Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad (Assassin's Creed)
  6. Wrench (Watch Dogs)
  7. Pagan Min (Far Cry)
  8. Eivor Varinsdottir (Assassin's Creed Valhalla)
  9. Kassandra (Assassin's Creed Odyssey)
  10. Aaron Keener (The Division 2)

In a parallel poll for most popular franchise, Assassin's Creed also secured the top spot, outperforming Rainbow Six Siege and Watch Dogs. The Division and Far Cry followed in fourth and fifth place respectively.
