Author:Kristen Update:Apr 22,2025

The overnight sensation, Drug Dealer Simulator: Schedule I, continues to dominate Steam's charts as one of the most-played games. Its developer, Tyler, has just released the first significant post-launch update, version 0.3.4, which is now available for testing on the beta branch. Tyler shared on the game's Steam page that this update will remain in beta for a day or two before a full release, inviting players to opt into the beta branch to test the new features.

While the beta doesn't include all the upcoming features, Tyler is eager to get feedback on the new wall-mounted objects and the pawn shop interface. He plans to add more decorative objects on April 8, aiming to enhance the game's environment further.

Schedule I stormed to the top of Steam's sales charts upon its launch, outpacing giants like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals, thanks to its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube. In the game, players rise from a small-time dope pusher to a kingpin, managing the manufacture and distribution of drugs in the gritty city of Hyland Point. Players can expand their empire by acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.

Developed and published by the Australian indie developer Tyler under the banner of TVGS, Schedule I's explosive launch has been described by Tyler as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." He expressed his surprise at the game's reception on Reddit, stating, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
