Twitch Streamer Adopts Sober Path

Adin Ross Recommits to Kick, Hints at Major Future Plans

Popular streamer Adin Ross has definitively ended speculation about his future, confirming his intention to remain on the Kick streaming platform long-term. Ross's recent absence from Kick fueled rumors of a potential departure, but his return last weekend, alongside fellow streamers, silenced those doubts. He's now stated publicly that he's on Kick "for good."

Ross, known for his engaging (and sometimes controversial) streams, joined Kick after a permanent ban from Twitch in 2023. His move, along with other high-profile streamers like xQc, significantly contributed to Kick's rapid growth. While 2023 saw considerable success for Ross on the platform, an unexplained hiatus in 2024 sparked widespread rumors, including speculation of a rift with Kick CEO Ed Craven.

A December 21, 2024 livestream with Craven, however, confirmed Ross's continued commitment to Kick. This followed months of ambiguity surrounding his future. A subsequent tweet further solidified his decision, assuring fans of his permanent return. His January 4, 2025 livestream, his first in 74 days, alongside Cuffem, Shaggy, and Konvy, marked a significant return.

Ambitious Future Plans on the Horizon

Ross's announcement also hinted at "something even bigger" in the pipeline, though details remain undisclosed. Many believe this relates to his Brand Risk boxing events, a project he intends to expand with Kick's support. Given past legal challenges with Misfits Boxing earlier in 2024, the success of future Brand Risk ventures will be closely watched.

Ross's decision provides a significant boost to both his fanbase and Kick itself. Kick, which has aggressively pursued prominent streamers, aims to eventually surpass or acquire Twitch, a goal that, given its current momentum, seems increasingly plausible. Co-founder Bijan Tehrani's earlier statements regarding this ambitious goal underscore Kick's aggressive growth strategy.
