Teardown Expands with Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has announced exciting updates for Teardown, their popular sandbox game. A highly anticipated multiplayer mode is on the horizon, launching alongside the new Folkrace DLC. This DLC expands the single-player experience with fresh maps, vehicles, and thrilling racing challenges. Players can compete in diverse events, unlock rewards, and customize their vehicles for ultimate track dominance.

The multiplayer update will initially arrive on Steam's Experimental Branch, providing early access for testing and feedback. Developers are particularly encouraging input from the modding community, as the game's API will be updated to support multiplayer functionality in user-created mods.

This multiplayer feature, a long-standing goal for the developers and a frequently requested feature by fans, is finally becoming a reality. The Experimental Branch launch allows for thorough testing before full integration into the main game. Simultaneous API updates ensure mod compatibility from the outset.

Beyond the immediate updates, Tuxedo Labs has confirmed two more major DLCs are in development, with more details promised later in 2025.
