Square Enix Announces The EOS Of Romancing SaGa Re:universe

Romancing SaGa Re:universe's global server is closing on December 2nd, 2024. While the Japanese version continues, the global journey ends after four years.

Two Months Remain

In-app purchases and Google Play Points exchanges have already ceased. The global launch in June 2020 marked the beginning of a chapter now concluding. Despite strong visuals and a generous gacha system, the global version received mixed reception.

Unlike its popular Japanese counterpart, the global version lacked significant content updates, such as Solistia and 6-star units, a year after their Japanese release. This content disparity contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately, the server closure.

Community Reflections

Square Enix has shuttered several mobile titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest games. Romancing SaGa Re:universe joins this list.
