Sonic Games Get Pre-Movie Boost with Updates

Get ready for a Sonic boom! Sega's celebrating the upcoming release of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 with a flurry of exciting updates across its mobile Sonic game lineup. From Apple Arcade's Sonic Dream Team to Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces (available on the App Store and Google Play), these updates deliver fresh content inspired by the new movie.

First up, Sonic Forces receives a major update on December 12th, introducing a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This thrilling addition boasts three challenging tracks, playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other familiar characters. Complete these levels before you catch the movie for the ultimate experience!

Next, on December 18th, Sonic Dream Team gets a boost with the addition of Shadow as a playable character, bringing his unique abilities to the game. Unlock him by tackling Tails’ Challenges. Shadow’s Chaos Control and Chaos Shift powers let you manipulate time, freezing foes and the environment to conquer objectives.

This update also introduces new powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost for all characters, plus exclusive upgrades like Double Chaos Shift for Shadow. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks are included, along with a revamped tutorial for new players.

And the fun doesn't stop there! Sonic Dash's update arrives on December 20th, letting you collect cards to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic. Daily challenges offer extra rewards to keep the excitement going. Sonic Dash+ on Apple Arcade will follow in January with its own Shadow-themed updates.
