Conquering Kupolovrax: A Project Tower Boss Guide

Kupolovrax, a formidable boss in Project Tower, presents a significant challenge due to its projectile-heavy attacks. This guide outlines strategies to overcome this enemy and emerge victorious. While targeting its illuminated segments seems intuitive, damage is also inflicted by shots landing on its carapace.

Phase 1

Initially, Kupolovrax remains grounded. Maintain distance, consistently fire, and employ these evasion techniques:

  • Orb Ring Fall: Dodge roll just before the descending orb rings reach you. Observe their trajectory carefully.
  • Orb Scattershot Fall: Strafe to sidestep the scattered orbs as they descend. Dodge rolling is effective for close calls.
  • Orb Line Push: This is the most challenging Phase 1 attack. The most effective counter is to wait for the first line, dodge roll forward, and immediately dash forward to clear the subsequent lines.
  • Stomp: Simply jump over the resulting shockwave. You can even continue firing while airborne.

Phase 2

At approximately 66% health, Kupolovrax takes to the air. Continue maintaining distance and firing while using these avoidance maneuvers:

  • Orb Scattershot Fall: The slow descent of these orbs allows for easy evasion by strafing and watching their fall pattern.
  • Orb Ring Push: Hold your position until the rings are about to hit, then dodge roll left or right to clear them.
  • Orb Line Push: Similar to Phase 1, wait for the first line, dodge roll forward, and immediately dash forward. Alternatively, dodge roll left or right and dash in the opposite direction.

Phase 3

Triggered at around 33% health, Phase 3 closely resembles Phase 2, but with a modified attack:

  • Modified Orb Ring Push: This three-part attack consists of converging rings, followed by two quick ring pushes, and finally, falling orb rings. Dodge roll left just before the initial rings, then immediately dash right to avoid the quick pushes, and finally walk forward to evade the falling rings.

Master these strategies, and Kupolovrax will fall. Project Tower is available on PC and PS5.
