Launching the Naruto: Path of the Ninja series is Naruto: Konoha Ninpōchō. Released in 2003, this title was exclusive to Japan's Bandai WonderSwan Color handheld console. The WonderSwan, a system launched in 1999, never saw international release, mirroring the game's limited availability. The game's narrative centers on the Land of Waves arc, augmented by additional missions featuring Team 7.

  1. Naruto: Konoha Senki (2003)

Similar to Konoha Ninpōchō, Naruto: Konoha Senki remained a Japan-only release. Published in 2003 by Tomy, a Japanese toy company, it was developed for the Game Boy Advance. The game adapts the first 70 anime episodes, encompassing the Land of Waves and Chūnin Exams arcs. Initially, players control only Team 7 and Kakashi, with additional characters unlockable upon progression.

Interestingly, Naruto: Path of the Ninja is the third entry. Also a Tomy production (2004), it initially launched on the Nintendo DS in Japan, later receiving a global Game Boy Advance port. The game's storyline covers early anime arcs, culminating in the Chūnin Exams arc.

Despite its title, Naruto RPG 2: Chidori vs. Rasengan serves as a sequel to Naruto: Path of the Ninja. Developed by Tomy for the Nintendo DS in 2005, this game, like its predecessor, was exclusive to Japan. The narrative follows the Search for Tsunade arc, concluding with Sasuke's defection from Konoha.

  1. Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2 (2006)

Concluding the series is Naruto: Path of the Ninja 2, another Tomy Nintendo DS title. Released in Japan in 2006, it saw a global launch in 2008. Unlike its predecessors which largely adhere to the canon storyline, this installment features a completely original, non-canon narrative. The Three Ryūdōin Brothers serve as the primary antagonists, alongside an original Anbu character allied with the player.

These five games, while uniquely titled, collectively represent a significant portion of the Naruto gaming landscape.
