The much-loved Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso, is set to return for a highly anticipated Season 4, as confirmed by its star and producer, Jason Sudeikis. The announcement came during a chat on the New Heights sports podcast, hosted by NFL brothers Jason and Travis Kelce. In the latest episode, Sudeikis shared that they are currently in the process of writing the new season, stating, "That’s what we’re writing. We’re writing Season 4 now. That’s the official word, yeah. Ted’s coaching a women’s team."

This news marks the first solid update on the series' continuation in nearly two years, providing much-needed reassurance to fans eager for more of the uplifting soccer saga. While details about whether Season 4 will be the final installment or its setting remain undisclosed, Sudeikis humorously dodged Travis Kelce's inquiries about a potential U.S. return, saying, "Yeah, that’s too many questions, and that’s only because I don’t know."

According to Deadline, negotiations are underway for Juno Temple to reprise her role as Keeley, joining confirmed returnees Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca, Brett Goldstein as Roy, and Jeremy Swift as Leslie. The report also suggests that filming for the first episode of Season 4 will kick off in Kansas City before shifting back to the UK, with production set to begin in July.

Apple TV+ is actively working to bring Ted Lasso back into the spotlight. Although no specific release date or plot details have been revealed yet, the show's official X/Twitter account playfully acknowledged its unexpected hiatus with a post saying, "Finally found the dang password to this thing. Sorry y’all. What’d I miss?"

The last significant update on Ted Lasso came in the summer of 2024, when Deadline reported that Season 4 was on the verge of receiving the green light.
