This event, part of Version 5.2's second phase, might initially seem complex. However, its tactical RPG gameplay is surprisingly straightforward once you grasp the mechanics. And with Primogems up for grabs, it's a must-do. Here's your guide to participation and rewards.

Event Entry Requirements:

To participate in Exercise Surging Storm, you need:

• Adventure Rank 20 or higher.
• Completion of the Mondstadt Archon Quest Prologue.

Start the event at the Knights of Favonius Headquarters in Mondstadt.

Gameplay Mechanics:

The event features helpful tutorials. Here's a simplified overview:

Before each wargame, select Combat Units (your troops) and Stratagems (buffs). Units have various types (AoE Damage, Flying, Ranged, Melee) with specific counters (e.g., Melee counters Ranged).

Analyze your opponent's lineup and adjust yours using the bottom-right effectiveness diagram. Remember, changing your lineup consumes Reinforcement Points, so strategize carefully.

Unit types explained:

• Melee Units: High damage absorption, slow speed.
• Ranged Units: Long-range attacks, low health.
• AoE DMG Units: Damage multiple units simultaneously.
• Flying Units: Evade ground attacks, immune to certain damage types.

Level up units for increased effectiveness by re-selecting them. Refresh Combat Units and Stratagems for better options. Elemental Reactions function as in the main game, so plan accordingly.

Don't worry about losses; you still earn Wargame Medals for rewards. Winning yields more medals, but consistent participation guarantees rewards, albeit at a slower pace.
