Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, offering up to four consecutive days of free playtime on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

The campaign began on January 9th, 2025, and the 96-hour play timer starts upon logging into the game launcher. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign's start. Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are excluded. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.

This free return coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, featuring new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the Hildibrand storyline's return and a new Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message confirmed upcoming Patches 7.2 and 7.3 in 2025, alongside smaller content updates, and hinted at future Dawntrail storyline developments.

While major content updates are still on the horizon, this Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to rejoin the adventure and catch up on the Dawntrail storyline before the release of Patch 7.2. The Heavensturn event, running until January 16th, offers a free minion reward to all participants, and Patch 7.16, launching January 21st, concludes the Dawntrail Role Quest series.
