February 2025 Pokémon GO Event Calendar Revealed

Get ready for an exciting month in *Pokémon GO* with February 2025's event lineup, featuring the Lunar New Year celebration, a special Community Day for Karrablast & Shelmet, and the thrilling debut of Dynamax Moltres. Here's a detailed look at all the events scheduled for this month.

Lunar New Year Event: January 29 – February 2

The Lunar New Year 2025 event, celebrating the Year of the Snake, runs until February 2 at 08:00 PM local time. This event offers Pokémon GO players a chance to celebrate the Chinese New Year with increased spawn rates of snake-themed Pokémon. Here's the list of Pokémon with boosted encounter rates:

  • Ekans (Shiny can be found)
  • Onix (Shiny can be found)
  • Snivy (Shiny can be found)
  • Darumaka (Shiny can be found)
  • Dunsparce (Shiny can be found)
  • Gyarados (Shiny can be found)
  • Dratini (Shiny can be found)

During the event, you'll also enjoy bonuses like an increased chance of obtaining Lucky Pokémon in trades and becoming Lucky Friends with other Trainers. Additionally, daily Field Research tasks will reward you with free PokéCoins. The 2KM Egg pool will feature the following Pokémon:

  • Makuhita (Shiny can be hatched)
  • Nosepass (Shiny can be hatched)
  • Meditite (Shiny can be hatched)
  • Duskull (Shiny can be hatched)
  • Skorupi (Shiny can be hatched)

Legendary Flight Dynamax Moltres Event: February 3 – 9

The Legendary Flight event concludes with the debut of Dynamax Moltres from February 3 to 9. On February 3, from 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM, Dynamax Moltres will be available as a Max Monday boss at all Power Spots. After this hour, it will remain available but at fewer locations, as Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble will also be Max Battle bosses until February 10. You'll need to explore your local area to find Moltres, but you'll have ample time to do so.

Karrablast & Shelmet Community Day: February 9

On Sunday, February 9, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, Pokémon GO will host a dual Community Day for Karrablast & Shelmet. This event offers increased encounters, evolution bonuses, and better chances of finding Shiny Pokémon. Evolve Karrablast or Shelmet by February 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM to get an Escavalier with the Charged Attack Razor Shell or an Accelgor with Energy Ball, respectively. You can also purchase premium Timed Research for US$2.00 (or equivalent) to ease your grind.

Beloved Buddies: February 11 – 15

A mysterious event, Beloved Buddies, will run from February 11 at 10:00 AM to February 15 at 08:00 PM local time. Details are yet to be revealed, but we'll keep you updated as soon as more information is available.

Raid Day: February 15

Pokémon GO's February Raid Day is scheduled for February 15 from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM local time. The boss for this event has not been announced yet, but we'll update this section once the details are released.

Scattered to the Winds: February 18 – 20

Another upcoming event, Scattered to the Winds, will take place from February 18 at 10:00 AM to February 20 at 08:00 PM local time. Like Beloved Buddies and Raid Day, details are pending, but we'll share them as soon as they're available.

Road to Unova: February 18 – March 1

The Road to Unova event, leading up to the Pokémon GO Tour Unova: Global event, starts on February 24, 2025, at 10:00 AM and runs until March 1. This week-long event features the debut of Shiny Meloetta, Raids with Gen-5 Legendaries, increased spawn rates of Unovan starter Pokémon, and premium Timed Research & bonuses.
