Unlocking the Lady Vengeance: A Divinity: Original Sin 2 Walkthrough

Escaping Fort Joy and removing your Source collar in Divinity: Original Sin 2 leads you to the Elven ship, Lady Vengeance. Your goal? Get this unconventional vessel sailing. This isn't a simple matter of turning a wheel; you'll need to solve a puzzle scattered across the ship.

Investigating the Ship's Deck:

Begin by examining the bodies of the magisters and gheists on deck. Loot them for clues and items. A Sodden Diary, found on one of the bodies, contains a password crucial for later. You can also obtain the password by successfully completing a skill check at the northern Stateroom door. Beyond the password, you'll need a Strange Gem to access the Portside Stateroom. A magic mirror nearby allows for respeccing your party, useful for skill checks.

Accessing the Portside Stateroom:

Use the password from the diary (or skill check) and the Strange Gem (found on Bishop Alexander's regalia after interacting with him) to unlock the Portside Stateroom door. Recruit potential companions before proceeding.

Locating the Ancient Empire Songbook:

Inside Magister Dallis' cabin, you'll find Tarquin and the Ancient Empire Songbook on a pedestal. Speak to Dallis thoroughly before searching the cabin. Reading the songbook reveals the cryptic text needed to move the ship. Recruit any desired companions before moving on, as opportunities to do so will vanish once the ship sets sail.

Setting Sail:

Return to the deck and speak to Malady. After revealing the songbook's contents, she'll ask you to sing the song to the ship. Locate the dragon figurine on the west side of the deck, interact with it, and choose to sing. This activates the Lady Vengeance, but be prepared for a challenging battle with powerful magisters immediately afterward. Ensure your party is well-equipped and has sufficient companions before proceeding.
