'Destiny 2' Bug Hinders Reputation Acquisition

Author:Kristen Update:Dec 12,2024

Destiny 2's Grandmaster Nightfall relaunch has unearthed another reputation bug impacting Warlock players. While Destiny 2 has enjoyed a period of positive momentum with new content like "Into the Light" and "The Final Shape," recent weeks have seen a surge in game-breaking glitches. Bungie actively addresses these issues, yet new problems seem to emerge with each weekly reset.

Recent bugs have ranged from unintended AFK Crucible rewards to unlimited Paracausal Shots with Hawkmoon. Warlocks have been particularly affected by a persistent reputation bug, previously hindering Gambit XP gains. This issue now extends to other game areas.

The June 25th weekly reset brought back Grandmaster Nightfalls with boosted Vanguard reputation and double rewards. However, Warlocks are experiencing significantly reduced XP gains compared to Titans and Hunters.

Warlock Reputation Bug in Destiny 2

The community has highlighted this Vanguard reputation double XP disparity, noting Warlocks receive less XP from ritual activities. Many players initially attributed the slower leveling to perception, only later realizing a genuine bug was at play. Surprisingly, this bug appears to have persisted for months without official acknowledgement from Bungie. Increased awareness followed the discovery of similar Gambit XP issues for Warlocks.

Currently, players can only increase awareness and hope Bungie addresses the problem. Update 8.0.0.5 addressed several issues, including Ritual Pathfinder adjustments and the removal of Elemental surges from Dungeons and Raids. However, this Warlock reputation bug remains unresolved.
