Crafting Gems Guide for Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Author:Kristen Update:Apr 01,2025

Embarking on your adventure in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, you'll quickly discover the importance of Gems in turning the tide of battle. These powerful items can be crafted in-game, but first, you need to unlock them. Here's how you can get started and maximize their potential.

How to Craft Gems in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Gems are essential equipable items that you can craft once you've joined Liu Bei’s Volunteer Army in Chapter 1. After joining, head to an Inn where you'll receive a letter from Zhang Fei. This letter introduces you to Gems and a crucial raw material called Pyroxene.

Pyroxene, the key ingredient for crafting Gems, appears as large, jewel-like formations scattered across the overworld. These formations spawn randomly, so keep an eye out for them as you navigate the world towards your next battle. Additionally, you can acquire Pyroxene by completing sidequests, collecting Old Coins, and reading letters at the Inn. With these methods, you'll soon amass a decent supply of Pyroxene.

Once you've gathered some Pyroxene, return to an Inn to start crafting your Gems. The crafting process is randomized; you'll select a number of Pyroxene, and they'll be transformed into one of several types of Gems. Whether you use one piece or ten, the outcome remains unpredictable. However, if you notice a white glowing aura around a specific Gem type in the crafting menu, you're guaranteed to craft only that type during that session.

As you continue to craft specific types of Gems in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*, they can level up, enhancing their effects. Since you can only equip one Gem at a time initially, choosing the right Gem for your battle strategy is crucial. For instance, the Wellspring Gem, which heals a set amount of health for every 100 enemy soldiers killed, is ideal for large-scale battles. Conversely, the Ascendence Gem, which boosts the chance of automatically blocking officer attacks, is better suited for one-on-one encounters with officers and generals. While the initial buffs may seem modest, over time, they can significantly impact your battle outcomes.

And that's the complete guide on how to craft and utilize Gems in *Dynasty Warriors: Origins*.

*Dynasty Warriors: Origins* is now available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.
