Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Update Reverses Controversial Zombies Change

Treyarch has addressed player concerns regarding recent changes to the Zombies Directed Mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. A January 9th update reverses a controversial alteration to zombie spawn delays, restoring them to approximately 20 seconds after five looped rounds. This decision follows significant player feedback indicating the previous adjustment negatively impacted gameplay and challenge completion.

The update also includes:

• Citadelle des Morts Fixes: Multiple bug fixes for the Citadelle des Morts map have been implemented, addressing issues with quest progression, visual effects, and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment.

• Shadow Rift Buff: The Shadow Rift Ammo Mod receives substantial buffs, increasing activation rates for normal, special, and elite enemies (with Big Game Augment equipped) and reducing its cooldown timer by 25%.

• Global Improvements: General fixes address issues with Maya's "Joyride" Operator Skin visibility, UI elements in the Events tab, and in-game audio for event milestones.

• Multiplayer Enhancements: The Multiplayer mode "Red Light, Green Light" now awards increased XP from match bonuses. Various stability fixes have also been implemented.

The January 3rd update, which initially introduced the reversed changes, also altered the Big Game Augment for Shadow Rift and a speedrun step in Terminus. Treyarch acknowledges that these changes weren't well-received and are working on further fixes. The speedrun fix requires additional testing but is slated for release soon. A fix for a Vermin double-attack bug is anticipated with the Season 2 update.

Looking Ahead:

Season 2 of Black Ops 6 launches on January 28th, bringing additional bug fixes and game adjustments. Players are encouraged to complete the Citadelle des Morts main quest before the end of Season 1 Reloaded.
