Blizzard Extends Anniversary Currency Spend Date

Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion, at a rate of 1 Bronze Celebration Token for every 20 Timewarped Badges, will occur upon players' first login after the patch launches.

The World of Warcraft 20th-anniversary event, concluding after 11 weeks, allowed players to accumulate Bronze Celebration Tokens used for purchasing revamped Tier 2 sets and anniversary items. Any remaining tokens could already be exchanged for Timewarped Badges, the currency for Timewalking events. With the event's end, Blizzard is streamlining the process by automatically converting these unused tokens.

According to community manager Linxy, this conversion will happen automatically upon logging in after Patch 11.1's release. Blizzard confirmed that Bronze Celebration Tokens will not be used again, making this conversion essential to prevent unused currency from cluttering player inventories.

While a precise release date for Patch 11.1 remains unannounced, February 25th is a strong possibility. This aligns with Blizzard's recent update schedule, considering the holiday season and the timing of the Plunderstorm and Turbulent Timeways events (January 14th - February 17th and currently running through February 24th, respectively).

This automatic conversion will likely occur after the second Turbulent Timeways event concludes. This seven-week event offers numerous opportunities to spend Timewarped Badges, with no planned removal of items purchased with this currency, ensuring players can save their Badges for future Timewalking events.
