Atomfall Shows Off Gameplay Ahead of March Release

Atomfall: New Gameplay Trailer Unveils Post-Apocalyptic England

Rebellion Developments' upcoming first-person survival game, Atomfall, plunges players into a chilling alternate 1960s England, devastated by nuclear catastrophe. A recently released gameplay trailer offers a glimpse into the game's core mechanics.

Fans of titles like Fallout and STALKER will find familiar elements in Atomfall's exploration of quarantined zones, dilapidated villages, and mysterious research bunkers. Survival hinges on scavenging resources, crafting essential tools, and mastering both melee and ranged combat against robotic adversaries and dangerous cultists.

Initially showcased at Xbox's Summer Game Fest, Atomfall generated significant buzz, particularly its day-one inclusion in Xbox Game Pass. The latest seven-minute trailer provides a more in-depth look at the game's world and mechanics, just under three months before its March 27th launch.

Gameplay Highlights:

The trailer highlights a range of weaponry, including a cricket bat (melee), revolver, shotgun, and bolt-action rifle, all subject to upgrades. Crafting plays a crucial role, allowing players to create healing items and combat tools such as Molotov cocktails and sticky bombs. A metal detector aids in locating hidden supplies and crafting materials. Character progression involves unlocking skills categorized into melee, ranged combat, survival, and conditioning, utilizing discovered training manuals.

Platforms and Release:

Atomfall launches March 27th on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass immediately. Rebellion plans to release another in-depth video soon, so stay tuned for further updates on their social media channels.
