Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Bid Farewell to Service

Nintendo is ending support for its mobile game, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, on November 28th, 2024. This announcement has surprised many players. The game's online services will cease, meaning no more Leaf Tickets, Pocket Camp Club memberships (auto-renewal ends October 28th; no refunds after that date, but a commemorative badge will be awarded), or interactions with the online community. The final day to acquire Leaf Tickets is November 26th. Online services will shut down at 7:00 AM PST on November 28th.

However, there's a silver lining! Nintendo plans to release a paid offline version of the game. While features like Market Boxes, gifting, and visiting friends' campsites will be removed, the core gameplay will remain. Players will retain their saved data and can continue playing without an internet connection. More details on this offline version are expected around October 2024.

This closure follows a trend of Nintendo phasing out its mobile titles, including Dr. Mario World and Dragalia Lost, and placing Mario Kart Tour in maintenance mode. For those wishing to enjoy the game one last time, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is available on the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for our upcoming article on Monument Valley 3 by Netflix.
