Remedy Entertainment marks the one-year anniversary of Alan Wake 2's release with a substantial, free Anniversary Update. In a blog post, the developer expressed gratitude to the fans, acknowledging their contributions to the game's community.

Launching alongside The Lake House expansion, this update significantly expands accessibility options. New features include infinite ammo and one-hit kill modes. Players on PS5 will also experience improved DualSense functionality, with haptic feedback integrated into healing and throwable item use. Horizontal axis inversion is also added.

The update also incorporates numerous quality-of-life (QoL) enhancements based on player feedback. Remedy stated that development hasn't ceased since the initial release, with ongoing work on both expansions and community-driven improvements. These refinements are compiled into this Anniversary Update.
