This two-player board game app offers a collection of Mancala games, including Kalah, Oware, and Congkak. These strategy games involve using small counters and pits to capture your opponent's pieces.
The app provides a virtual game board with six houses on each side and two end zones (stores). The goal is to accumulate more counters than your opponent.
Kalah Game Rules:
- Start with four to six counters in each house.
- Each player controls their six houses. Your score is the number of counters in your store.
- Players take turns sowing their counters counter-clockwise, dropping one in each house (including their own store, but excluding their opponent's).
- If the last counter lands in an empty house you own, and the opposite house has counters, both are captured and added to your store.
- Landing the last counter in your store earns an extra turn. There's no turn limit.
- The game ends when a player has no counters left in their houses. The remaining counters are added to the opponent's store, and the player with the most counters wins.
Oware Game Rules:
- Begin with four to six counters in each house. Each player controls their six houses; the score is the number of counters in their store.
- On a turn, sow all counters from one of your houses counter-clockwise. Counters aren't placed in end zones or the starting house. If the starting house had 12 or more counters, it's skipped, and the twelfth counter goes into the next house.
- You capture opponent's counters when your last sown counter brings the count in one of their houses to exactly two or three. This also captures any previous houses brought to two or three in the same turn. Captured counters go into your store.
- If your opponent has empty houses, you must make a move giving them counters. If impossible, you capture all counters in your territory, ending the game.
- The game ends when one player has more than half the counters, or both have half (a draw).
