Battle Crush Announces EOS Just Few Months After Early Access Launch

NCSoft has announced the end-of-service (EOS) for its multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, Battle Crush. This is surprising, as the game never reached its fully polished release. Following a global test in August 2023 and an early access launch in June 2024, the game is shutting down just months later.

Battle Crush's EOS Date

The game's servers will be taken offline on November 29th, 2024. In-game purchases have already ceased. Players who made purchases between June 27th, 2024, and October 23rd, 2024, are eligible for a refund.

Refunds for Android and Steam players will be processed from December 2nd, 2024, to January 2025. Players should download any desired content before November 28th, 2024, as access will be terminated afterward.

The official Battle Crush website will remain accessible until May 30th, 2025, for any needed support. Social media accounts and Discord will be deactivated on January 31st, 2025.

Unexpected Closure?

The announcement of a game shutdown is always disappointing, especially after investing time and effort. Battle Crush players are understandably upset. However, those following the game's development likely anticipated this outcome due to ongoing gameplay issues.

The game fell short of expectations. Controls felt somewhat cumbersome, and the pacing lacked polish. While enjoyable, Battle Crush lacked the refinement needed for long-term success, ultimately leading to its EOS.

You can still download Battle Crush from the Google Play Store before the shutdown. For more gaming news, check out our upcoming coverage of the story-driven Autumn Season quests in Black Desert Mobile.
